Saint Louis is on fire with Cardinal Fever this “Red October.” The STL is a huge baseball city and one can’t help but catch the excitement and enthusiasm as our team journeys to Game 6 of the World Series!
This picture is of my little sister and I in front of the Old Court House and St. Louis Arch before Game 2 last Thursday. The city dyed the city fountains red, and Cardinals banners are hanging from every lamp post! Assuming we win the World Series, there will be a gigantic parade later this week and basically all of downtown will shut down - I can’t wait!
Cardinal Fever has hit SLU as well. Red is definitely the clothing color of choice as SLU students - native to the area or not - show support for the team. While walking through the Quad this week wearing my Card’s gear, I’ve received countless high fives from random SLU students with a loud “Go Cardinals!” cheer.
I’ve watched every game of the postseason with my college friends in our dorms, and we even got together over fall break to go to the zoo and catch Monday night’s game on Fox.
LET’S GO CARDS!
